A vintage railway coach houses this unique permanent exhibit where visitors are introduced to the rich history of Berkshire County and to the locations where that history can be revisited. Truly a gateway, the museum is easily accessible from the Massachusetts Turnpike and close by important Gilded Age sites. The electronic map shows how to reach 24 of them. Open weekends and holidays 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend till Columbus Day, admission free, with free parking.
